Go Green Week

University of Westminster is running Go Green Week as part of the Degrees Cooler programme! There will be some exciting events, so why not come along and get involved – come and meet like-minded people, show your commitment to the environment while having fun!

Wednesday 2nd Feb – Degrees Cooler at Well-Being Day - Regent Street Gym

There will be a number of environmentally themed stalls at this all-round interactive day for students and staff to enjoy. We will learn about cooking sustainable food, where the best bike routes are, how you can save energy at home or in Halls. Drop in any time to chat about what we’re doing at UoW. For more information, check out the well-being day event page.

Tuesday 8th February – Volunteer day at Chiswick Sports Ground - 10am - 1.30pm

This is a chance for you to get outside in the fresh air and help beautify the habitat surrounding Chiswick Sports Ground, and have a look at the University’s first allotment patch which won funding from Capital Growth, and explore the areas specifically set aside to enhance biodiversity. Our site at Chiswick is home to a range of projects that promote biodiversity, and we’ll be preparing the grounds for the next season of growth.

We’ll cover the cost of a travel card from central London, and provide brunch, lunch and tools. You should bring strong shoes, wrap up warm and be ready to make friends!
Location:
Chiswick Sports Ground,
Qunitin Hogg Memorial Ground,
Hartington Road,
Chiswick,
London.
